There is a poem here, a memory
Playing out before me
I savour it; intoxicating.
Submerged in the wading pool
Brown eyes sparkling and mischievious
Blue eyes seeking out the other
In aquatic hide and seek.
Arms wrap around my neck
The other clamours atop shoulders
Entangled limbs flailing and splashing
Shrieks of delight and mock terror
Chlorine strong in the air.
There is a poem here, a memory
If, once home, I can recapture it
Amongst domestic chaos; bliss.
