Imminent change looms
Unbenounced to little ears
We are their filters
Ensuring purity of innocence.

Baby talk, first words, scraped knees
It was easy then
The world not jammed down their throats
Outside influences easily rebuttled.

Imminent change looms
That will change our lives forever
Unbenounced to little ears
Instead, we let them sleep.
